Francesca Maschio is Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the "Information and Knowledge Society" project at the University of "Roma Tre" Law School. She graduated from Rome University "La Sapienza Law School", with honours, and obtained a Ph.D. in "Private Law and Constitution" from the University of Padua. Francesca has been Visiting Scholar at the Harvard University Law School, at the Institute for Advanced Legal Studies in London, and at Fordham University Law School in New York.
Francesca has been a Visiting Foreign Instructor at the University of Washington Law School, Center for Advanced Study and Research on Intellectual Property, in Seattle and was Visiting Professor at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law in Munich.
As a lawyer (admitted to the Bar of Rome, in 2001), Francesca has extensive international experience, counselling both at international law firms and international agencies, focusing on the structuring and negotiation of international contracts. She has been a speaker at international conferences and meetings devoted to legal education and judicial cooperation. She has authored and edited books and several articles on contract law, Intellectual Property, IT, data protection and e-commerce, both in Italian and English.
