Prof. Aggr. Salvatore Morelli

Salvatore Morelli is an assistant professor in public economics at the University of Roma Tre (Department of Law) and is the Director of the GC Wealth Project at the Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). He is also a coordinating member of the Inequality and Diversity Forum and a research associate at the Center for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) of the University Federico II of Naples.
Salvatore holds a D.Phil in Economics at the University of Oxford, completed in October 2013, and held a position of post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Studies of Economics and Finance (CSEF) in Naples until May 2016. As “Guido Cazzavillan” Research Fellow (June 2016 – May 2017) he visited the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford, and the Department of Economics at University of California Berkeley.
Currently his research is focused on methodologies for estimating personal wealth concentration, the role of intergenerational wealth transfers and their taxation.
