Studying Law at Roma Tre
Antonio Scialà is Associate Professor of Public Finance at University Roma Tre (Department of Law), where he teaches Public Finance (in Italian) and Public Economics and Regulation. He graduated in Statistics and Economics at Sapienza University of Rome, where he achieved a Ph.D. in Economics. During his Ph.D. he has been visiting graduate student at Université Catholique de Louvain, at Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).
Before the current position, he was Assistant Professor of Public Finance at Roma Tre from 2010 to 2018 and, from 2006 to 2009, at University of Padua (Department of Economics and Management), where he taught Public Finance (undergraduate, in Italian), Economics of Taxation (undergraduate, in Italian), and Microeconomics (graduate). In 2008, he was Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cambridge (UK) and, in 2015, Mobile Professor at the Department of Public Finance of the Shandong University at Jinan (China), where he delivered lectures on Public Finance in Europe (undergraduate).
Professor Scialà’s research interests include fiscal federalism, regulation of public utilities, and taxation of tobacco products. He presented his scientific contributions in several international conferences around the world.
